One Ride, One Tree: Sustainable Travel in Buenos Aires

Traveling has evolved. It’s no longer just about reaching a point on a map; it’s about the legacy we leave behind.

According to the Booking.com 2025 Travel & Sustainability Report, the shift is undeniable: 84% of travelers now believe that traveling responsibly is vital, while 69% express a deep desire to leave the places they visit in better condition than when they arrived.

At Buenos Aires Transfers, we believe your first mile in Argentina should be the first step toward a restorative future.

From Urban Congestion to Native Reforestation

Tourism brings life to our city, but it also brings challenges. Residents in hubs like ours often feel the strain of increased traffic and environmental pressure. As a local company, we don’t just want to navigate these streets; we want to help heal the land.

This is why we created “One Ride. One Tree.” For every reservation you make, we plant a native tree in our dedicated conservation site in Corrientes, Argentina.

But this is more than just a number. Our project focuses on restoring 15 hectares of native “Monte” forest in the Esteros del Iberá region. We are actively removing invasive eucalyptus trees—which deplete groundwater—and replacing them with native species like the Lapacho or Urunday to bring the ecosystem back to its natural balance.

A Personal Connection to the Land

We believe in transparency and connection. When you book with us:

  • You receive a photo: We plant a native tree in your name and send you a photograph of it, so you can see the life you’ve started in Argentina.
  • You support a circular vision: This site will eventually host our own Eco-Lodge, a space designed to connect travelers directly with our reforestation efforts.

You can explore the full details of our mission and the progress of our reserve on our Sustainable Travel Commitment page.

Your Journey, Reimagined

Your time in the “Queen of the Plata” doesn’t have to come at a cost to the Earth. By choosing a homegrown service that reinvests in the country’s biodiversity, you ensure that the only thing you leave behind is a greener horizon.

Ready to start your journey with a positive impact?

Next time you land in Buenos Aires, remember: Your ride has roots.
