TRANSFERS · GROUP TRAVEL · 2026
Eleven people, fourteen suitcases and one name on a sign: getting a group out of the airport is a seating plan before it is a drive.

Anyone who has travelled in a group knows the scene. The plane is on the ground, the phones come back on, and a chat that was silent for twelve hours fills up at once: who has the passports, whose bag came out first, where has Tomás gone. At Buenos Aires Transfers, that moment past the baggage belt is the one we plan for, from the arrivals hall to the hotel door.
For a group it always comes down to three numbers: how many people, how many suitcases, how many flights. Get those right, and the rest is a drive.
Which vehicle fits your group?
For a large group, a van transfer from Ezeiza or Aeroparque comes down to four sizes, and each vehicle carries as many suitcases as it has passenger seats: the Van H1 takes 6 people, the Van Hiace 7, the Sprinter 14 and the Minibus 20. The models are the ones we list, or similar (the full table is at the end). Two or three travellers fit a car, so the vans start at four.
If you book online, the form asks for the number of vehicles, not passengers: nine people in one Sprinter is one vehicle.
Every price on our transfer pages is per vehicle and per trip, never per person, so each extra traveller in the same van lowers what everyone pays. Current rates by vehicle and route are on our private transfers page.
Why does a suitcase count as much as a seat?
The capacities are one suitcase per passenger, and they are real limits: the luggage space in a van does not stretch because the flight was long.
Six friends with a checked bag each fit a Van H1 exactly. The same six coming back from a month in Patagonia with ten bags do not: the smallest vehicle that takes ten suitcases is the Sprinter. Count bags as well as heads, and choose by whichever number is higher.
Golf bags, a bike box, skis, the garment bag with the wedding dress: tell us when you book. Oversized or non-standard pieces can call for a bigger vehicle and may carry a fee, which is better heard in a message than at the airport door. Child seats are available on request and may have a fee too. And count the children when you count seats.
One van or two cars?
When a group lands on the same flight, the answer is one vehicle for everyone: one driver tracking one flight, one sign in the arrivals hall, one moment when everybody is in and the doors close. Two cars means two drivers to find in a crowded hall, the bags split in two, and half the group waiting for the other half. So we do not suggest splitting a group that travels together, even when two small cars might cost a little less than one van.
What if your group lands on different flights?
Weddings are the classic case: guests fly in from three countries over two days.
Sort the arrivals by airport first. Ezeiza (EZE) takes the long-haul international flights; Aeroparque (AEP), the city airport, handles most domestic flights and some regional international routes. A group split between the two needs two pickups, so check the airport on each ticket, not just the city.
Then look at the gap between landings at the same airport:
1. Close together. One vehicle can take everyone: book it on the later flight. Every airport pickup includes 60 minutes of waiting from the moment that flight lands, and the early arrivals wait inside.
2. Hours apart. Book separate transfers, each with its own sign and flight tracking. Nobody should spend half a morning in an arrivals hall to save a transfer.
3. Delays. We track every flight, so if one lands late the driver adjusts, with no extra charge for delays outside your control.
Not sure which applies? Send us the flight numbers and we will tell you whether one vehicle works.
What should the sign say?
Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a sign carrying your name. For a group, pick the name everyone will recognise (the family surname, the couple's names, the company), post it in the group chat before you board, and name one person as the driver's contact. Twenty people looking for one sign find it far faster than twenty people looking for one face.
Moving a group? Send us the headcount, the suitcases and the flight numbers, and we will match the vehicle. Every transfer includes the name sign, help with the luggage and tolls, plus 60 minutes of waiting on airport pickups, at the same price day or night. See vehicles and rates.
Travelling as a cruise group?
Groups coming off a ship have the same arithmetic with a different arrivals hall. Ships dock at the Quinquela Martín cruise terminal, inside the port:
→ AV. RAMÓN S. CASTILLO AND AV. DE LOS INMIGRANTES, RETIRO
The same vehicles and capacities apply, and the 60 minutes of included waiting also counts at the port, which absorbs a slow disembarkation. We also drive between the terminal and Ezeiza or Aeroparque. Rates for the port, and for a private shore excursion on a port day, are on our cruise page.
What about groups larger than 20?
Our largest listed vehicle takes 20 people and 20 suitcases. Above that, write to us on WhatsApp or at info@buenosairestransfers.net: a person on our team works out the option that fits your group and its luggage, and quotes it.
One date note for weddings and year-end trips: our published transfer rates do not apply on 24, 25 and 31 December or on 1 January. Ask us for those dates.
Add the city: a private tour for the whole group
Most groups want to see the city together.

Our private city tour is priced per group, not per person, with a guide and a driver included, pickup and drop-off at your hotel, and tours in English, Spanish, French or Portuguese. Museum and attraction tickets are extra. One practical detail: the guide travels with you and needs a seat too, and we count it when we choose the vehicle. Tour lengths and rates by group size are on our city tour price page.

Arrive together
A group trip really starts when the last person walks through the arrivals doors. Size the vehicle, write the sign and share the flight numbers before anyone boards, and that moment becomes what it should be: everyone, every bag, one door closing, and the city ahead.
