AIRPORT TRANSFERS · EZEIZA TO AEROPARQUE · 2026
Two airports, a city between them and a second check-in at the other end: the connection is simple once you know where the hours go.

Buenos Aires has two airports, and a trip to the rest of Argentina often uses both. Flights from outside South America land at Ezeiza (EZE), about 40 kilometres by road from Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP), the city airport by the river, where most domestic flights to Iguazú, Bariloche, Mendoza or Ushuaia take off. At Buenos Aires Transfers we drive that connection in both directions: a driver meets you at Ezeiza arrivals with your name on a sign, loads your bags and takes you straight to Aeroparque departures.
This guide covers what happens at Ezeiza before you can leave, how much time to leave between the two flights, what happens if the first one lands late, and what the transfer costs.
Do you need to change airports at all?
Check the departure airport on your domestic ticket first. Most domestic flights leave from Aeroparque, but not all of them: Aerolíneas Argentinas and JetSMART also fly from Ezeiza itself to places like Bariloche, Ushuaia, El Calafate and Iguazú. If your flight is one of those, you stay at Ezeiza and do not need a transfer.
What happens at Ezeiza before you can leave
A connection from an international flight to a domestic one in Argentina is not a walk to another gate. Aerolíneas Argentinas explains it in its baggage conditions: you go through immigration, collect your checked bags to clear customs, and then hand them in again for the domestic flight. When that flight leaves from Aeroparque, the second check-in happens at Aeroparque.
In our experience, immigration and baggage take 40 minutes to an hour from the moment the plane lands until you are out in the arrivals hall, where the driver is waiting.
How much time to leave between flights
No airline or airport publishes a minimum connection time between Ezeiza and Aeroparque, so what follows is our own arithmetic, not a rule. Add up the long end of each step:
| Step | Time |
|---|---|
| Immigration and bags at Ezeiza | 40 minutes to 1 hour |
| Ezeiza to Aeroparque by road | Up to 1 hour 30 minutes, sometimes more |
| At Aeroparque before a domestic flight | 2 hours, if you check bags at the counter with Aerolíneas Argentinas |
| Total if every step runs long | About 4 hours 30 minutes |
That is before the first flight is late at all. So if you are choosing the flights yourself, we suggest leaving at least five hours between the scheduled landing at Ezeiza and the departure from Aeroparque, and six if you can. With less, any delay on the first flight comes straight out of your check-in time.
Aerolíneas Argentinas asks you to be at the airport 2 hours before a domestic flight when you check bags at the counter, and 90 minutes if you checked in online. Aeropuertos Argentina, which runs both airports, recommends arriving 2 hours 30 minutes before a domestic flight. Other airlines set their own times: check yours.
What if your first flight lands late?
We track your flight in real time, so the pick-up moves with your landing, with no extra charge for delays outside your control. Waiting time is included: 60 minutes at the airport, counted from the moment your plane actually lands, to get through immigration and collect your bags.
What we cannot do is hold the second plane. Before you fly, ask your airline what happens if a late first flight makes you miss the second one, especially if the two flights are on separate tickets.

Shuttle bus or private car?
Tienda León runs a shuttle bus between the two airports, with a stop at its terminal in the city centre on the way. The company estimates the trip at 1 hour 20 minutes and sells it per person, with one 23 kg suitcase included. If you travel alone with one bag and plenty of time, it costs less.
A private car makes sense when there are two or more of you, when you carry more luggage, or when the gap between flights is tight: the driver is already tracking your flight, waits in the arrivals hall and goes straight to Aeroparque.
A long gap? Stop in the city on the way
If the hours between flights are many, you do not have to spend them in a terminal. The same car can stop in Buenos Aires on the way to Aeroparque and wait while you walk, with your bags inside. The car with driver is booked by the hour, from one hour when combined with the airport transfer. Our guide to what to do on a long Ezeiza layover does the sums and suggests where to go.
