SAN ISIDRO · FESTIVAL TRANSPORT · 2027
Getting to the Hipódromo de San Isidro is the easy half of a Lollapalooza day, and the hard half starts after the last set, hours after the last regular train to Retiro has gone.
The headliner plays the last song, the lights come up over the racecourse and a whole festival starts looking for the same way home at once. At Buenos Aires Transfers we drive the road to San Isidro, and this is what we tell our own passengers: every way there, how each one looks after midnight, and how to settle the ride home before you leave the hotel.
Lollapalooza Argentina is not held in the city of Buenos Aires but at the Hipódromo de San Isidro, a racecourse in the northern suburbs, about 24 kilometres by road from the Obelisco. Getting there is simple. Getting back is the hard part: the festival runs past midnight, the streets around the racecourse close, and the last regular train to Retiro leaves before 10pm.

Where is the Hipódromo de San Isidro?
The Hipódromo de San Isidro is the racecourse of the Jockey Club, opened in December 1935 on 148 hectares in San Isidro, a district of the province of Buenos Aires north of the city. It hosts horse racing most of the year, and its address, Avenida Márquez 700, is the one the festival gives too.

By train, on the Mitre line
The Retiro to Tigre branch of the Mitre line stops at San Isidro station, about 40 minutes from Retiro. From the station, the Avenida Santa Fe side of the racecourse is about 400 metres away, a five-minute walk; Avenida Márquez 700 is about 1.3 km, some 18 minutes on foot.
By car, taxi or app
By road it is about 24 km from the Obelisco; on a big event day, the closures and parking rules matter more than the distance.
When is Lollapalooza Argentina 2027?
The 12th edition of Lollapalooza Argentina runs over three days, Friday 12 March to Sunday 14 March 2027, at the Hipódromo de San Isidro, with more than 100 acts on five stages. The headliners announced on AllAccess, the festival's only ticket seller, are Travis Scott, Charli xcx, The Killers, TINI, David Guetta, Queens of the Stone Age, The Neighbourhood, Rawayana, Fontaines DC and Sombr. Set times are not out yet.
In 2026 the festival ran from 13:00 to 00:30 on Friday and from 11:30 to 1:00 on Saturday and Sunday, according to the San Isidro municipality; the 2027 hours have not been published.
Parking and the shared shuttle
In 2026 the festival sold its own parking in advance through AllAccess, with limited places, and the municipality opened two 24-hour car parks, at Hospital Central (Avenida Santa Fe 311) and at the municipal building (Avenida Centenario 77). For 2027, AllAccess links to a shared shuttle run by a separate company, with set stops and routes, and warns that seats are limited and tend to sell out.
Why is getting back the hard part?
The last regular train leaves before 10pm
With the Mitre timetable in force since 12 March 2026, the last regular train from San Isidro to Retiro leaves at 21:18 on weekdays and at 21:22 on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. A festival day that ends after midnight leaves it far behind.
Night trains, with a different route each year
Past editions had special trains after the festival, but the details changed every year. In 2025 the municipality announced extra trains from 23:30, every 15 minutes until 2:30, from San Isidro to Retiro with one stop at Belgrano C. In 2026 the special trains ran until 3:00 straight from San Isidro to Belgrano C, without stopping and without going on to Retiro. From Belgrano C you still need a ride to your hotel at two or three in the morning.
The 2027 plan is not out yet: check it the week of the festival, and don't build the night around a train you haven't seen announced.
The streets around the racecourse close
In 2026 the municipality asked people to avoid the area from 18:00 to 3:30 and closed streets in stages from 15:00, with Avenida Fleming kept for buses from 22:00 and the Alem level crossing shut from 23:00. Ride-hailing apps got designated pick-up points: Avenida del Libertador and Roque Sáenz Peña, Santa Fe and Dardo Rocha, and Avenida Andrés Rolón 500.
If 2027 follows that pattern, no car reaches the gate. Whoever picks you up waits outside the perimeter, and you walk there with the whole festival opening the same apps.
How does a private driver solve the return?
1. A meeting point outside the closures, agreed in advance. We agree with you where the driver will wait, outside the closed streets, so you leave the festival knowing where to walk.
2. One vehicle for the whole group. Our vehicles go from a car for two to a minibus for 20; for bigger groups, ask us.
3. One price per vehicle, agreed before the trip. Not per person, and no night surcharge: the same at any hour, however late the last set ends.
4. The festival-day package. When we drop you off and pick you up the same day, you pay the one-way ride plus the driver's waiting hours, never more than two one-way rides. On a festival day the cap applies: USD 80 in a car for two, USD 240 in a van for six and USD 460 in a minibus for 20, there and back from your hotel in the city, wait included. The ride home alone is USD 40, USD 120 and USD 230.
On the San Isidro side we cover the whole district, the Hipódromo included. Message us on WhatsApp with your festival day, your group size and the time you want to leave, and we will confirm the price for your vehicle.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I take the train back after Lollapalooza Argentina?
Not on the regular timetable: the last train from San Isidro leaves at 21:18 on weekdays and 21:22 at weekends. In 2025 and 2026 there were special night trains, with a different route each year; the 2027 plan is not out yet.
Is there a night surcharge for a late pick-up?
Not with us. The price is per vehicle, agreed before the trip, and it is the same at any hour. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before.
I'm flying in for the festival. Can you pick me up at the airport?
Yes. If you are staying in San Isidro, we take you straight there: from Ezeiza it is USD 65 in a car for two and USD 180 in a van for six, and from Aeroparque, USD 45 and USD 135. If you are staying in the city, book the airport transfer to your hotel and message us separately about the festival days.
Does this guide work for other events at the Hipódromo?
The venue part does: the address, the train, the distances and our prices are the same for a race day or any other event. The closures, night trains and pick-up points are the festival's own.
Settle the ride home before the first set
A Lollapalooza day ends the same way for everyone: lights up, gates open, and about 24 kilometres of road between the racecourse and a bed in Buenos Aires. The difference is whether that last part was decided calmly at the hotel or in a crowd on Avenida Márquez. Decide it early, then enjoy the festival. Going to a stadium show in La Plata too?
