MOTOGP ARGENTINA · CIRCUIT TRANSPORT · 2027
MotoGP is back in Buenos Aires after 28 years, at a circuit eighteen kilometres from the Obelisco, and the hardest lap of the weekend may be the one back to your hotel.
The chequered flag falls, the grandstands empty and the whole circuit heads for the same exits at the same time, three days in a row. At Buenos Aires Transfers we drive visitors around the city, and this is what we tell our own passengers about MotoGP weekend at the Autódromo: how the three days work, every official way there, and how to settle the ride back before you leave the hotel.
The Autódromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez is the City of Buenos Aires' own racing circuit, on Avenida Coronel Roca at the corner of Avenida General Paz, in Villa Riachuelo, on the south-western edge of the city. It is about 18 kilometres by road from the Obelisco, and Ezeiza airport is about the same distance away. The ticketer sells the race as the Gran Premio Ciudad de Buenos Aires and MotoGP lists it as the Grand Prix of Argentina: it is the same event. Getting there takes some planning. Getting back takes more.

When is MotoGP in Buenos Aires, and how do the three days work?
The Grand Prix runs from Friday 9 April to Sunday 11 April 2027, as round 4 of the 2027 MotoGP World Championship, with Moto2 and Moto3 on the same weekend. It is the first time MotoGP races in Buenos Aires since 1999, and the debut of the rebuilt Autódromo: the City has been renovating it since January 2026, with a new 4.3-kilometre layout of 14 corners.
Three things to know before you plan the rides:
1. The date depends on the circuit. The ticketer's terms say the date and the programme depend on the FIM and Dorna confirming the calendar, on the circuit's homologation and on the authorities' approvals. If the date moves, tickets stay valid for the new one.
2. The track timetable is not out yet. Practice, qualifying, the sprint and the races are scheduled by the FIM and Dorna. MotoGP's calendar lists the Grand Prix itself on Sunday 11 April.
3. Tickets are a three-day pass, with one entry per day. For now Fantix, the official ticketer, sells a single pass for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Once your ticket is scanned you cannot leave and come back in on the same day, and the ticket does not include parking or transport.
How do you get to the Autódromo?
By subte and Premetro
The Autódromo's website gives one rail route: subte Line E to Plaza de los Virreyes, then the Premetro, the light-rail line that Emova runs alongside the subte, to General Savio station. From General Savio, the Autódromo's address on Avenida Coronel Roca is about 1.3 kilometres on foot. The network opens at 5:30am on weekdays, 6am on Saturdays and 8am on Sundays and holidays.
By bus
The same page lists sixteen bus lines that serve the Autódromo. Check the list against your hotel, and allow for heavier traffic on race days.
By car
The organiser sells parking passes separately, for the days stated on each pass and without a guaranteed space, and vehicles may not enter the grounds outside the authorised car parks. The organiser itself recommends going by public transport.
What has not been published yet
The organiser says it will announce the access options, the motorcycle parking and the transport services on its official channels, and as of October 2026 the City has not published a traffic or transport plan for the race weekend. We will update this guide when they do.
Why is getting back the hard part?
The City says the renovated Autódromo will be able to hold 150,000 people a day. However many come, most of them leave when the last race ends, at the same time, towards the same station, the same bus stops and the same avenues.
Three details make it harder:
- The Premetro's timetable. On Emova's regular timetable, the Premetro to General Savio runs every 9 minutes on weekdays and every 13 minutes on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, and the last train leaves General Savio at about 9:20pm (around 9:30pm on Saturdays). The station is also a 1.3-kilometre walk away, with everyone else.
- One entry per day. You cannot step out to meet a car and go back in, so whoever collects you has to be ready when you actually walk out.
- Parking with no guaranteed space. Even with a pass, you still have to find the car and drive out of the same car park as everyone else.
And all of it repeats on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
How does a private driver solve the three days?
1. A drop-off and pick-up point agreed in advance. Once the traffic plan is out, we agree with you where the driver leaves you in the morning and where they wait at the end of the day, so you leave the circuit knowing where you are walking to.
2. One vehicle for the whole group, every day. Our vehicles range from a comfort car for two to a minibus for 20; for bigger groups, ask us.
3. A price per vehicle and per leg, agreed before you go. Hotel to Autódromo and back, for each day you go: USD 30 a leg in a car for two and USD 95 in a van for six, so USD 60 or USD 190 a day. Not per person, and with no night surcharge.
4. Hospitality guests too. Hospitality packages require collecting your credential first, once, at the accreditation centre in the Estadio Mary Terán de Weiss, on Avenida Coronel Roca 3490. It is valid for the three days, and a free shuttle runs between the accreditation centre and the circuit for accredited guests. We can drive you to the accreditation centre.
5. A driver who waits, if you prefer. If you would rather have the driver nearby all day, to leave whenever you decide or to go straight on to dinner, you can book by the hour: USD 25 an hour in a car for two, USD 45 in a van for six and USD 70 in a minibus for 20, with a three-hour minimum. More in our guide to hiring a driver by the hour.
Write to us on WhatsApp with where you are staying, the days you are going and your group, and we will confirm the price for your vehicle.
Getting to the Autódromo and back, compared
| Option | The last stretch | At the end of the day | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private driver, booked ahead | An agreed drop-off point | Waiting at an agreed point, one vehicle for the group | Groups, hospitality guests, anyone staying far from Line E |
| Subte Line E and Premetro | About 1.3 km on foot from General Savio | The whole crowd at one station; last train about 9:20pm | Staying near Line E and travelling light |
| Bus | Depends on the line | The same stops for everyone | Tight budgets with time to spare |
| Car with a parking pass | A space in the car park, not guaranteed | Driving out with everyone else | Anyone who has already bought a pass |
| Taxi or ride app | Wherever the traffic plan allows (not published yet) | The whole crowd asking at once | Getting there, more than getting back |
Coming to Buenos Aires for more than the race?
The city's big events share the same problem at the end. If your trip includes a concert at River Plate's stadium, here is how to get to the Estadio Monumental; for a show in La Plata, how to get to the Estadio Único; and for the festival in San Isidro, how to get to Lollapalooza Argentina.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far is the Autódromo from the centre of Buenos Aires?
About 18 kilometres by road from the Obelisco, inside the city, in the Villa Riachuelo neighbourhood. Ezeiza airport is about 18 kilometres away too.
When is MotoGP Argentina 2027?
From Friday 9 April to Sunday 11 April 2027, at the Autódromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez, with the Grand Prix on Sunday 11 April. The date depends on the circuit's homologation and on the FIM and Dorna confirming the calendar.

Not for now. Fantix sells only the three-day pass for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, valid for one entry per day. It says tickets for Sunday alone may go on sale later if there is stock left, with no guarantee.
Can I leave the circuit and come back in on the same day?
No. The ticket terms allow one entry per day: whoever leaves needs a new ticket to go back in.
How much is a ride from my hotel to the Autódromo?
From anywhere in the city of Buenos Aires, USD 30 a ride in a car for two and USD 95 in a van for six, for the whole vehicle. If you want the driver to wait for you through the day, it goes by the hour: USD 25 an hour in a car and USD 45 in a van, with a three-hour minimum.

Yes. From Ezeiza to your hotel in the city it is USD 50 in a car for two and USD 135 in a van for six; from Aeroparque, USD 35 and USD 95; from the Buquebus or Colonia Express ferry terminal, USD 35 and USD 95. Book the airport transfer or the ferry transfer, and message us about the race days separately. Flying out on race Sunday? Settle the ride back before lights out
MotoGP weekend at the Autódromo ends the same way for everyone, three times over: the last race, the gates and a long walk to the Premetro. The difference is whether the ride back was decided calmly at the hotel or in the crowd on Avenida Coronel Roca. Decide it early, then enjoy the racing.
