Getting to the Estadio Único is the easy half of the night, and the hard half starts when the lights come up almost 60 kilometres from Buenos Aires, after the last regular train has gone.
The last song ends, the lights come up over the Estadio Único, and a whole stadium starts looking for the same way home at once. At Buenos Aires Transfers we drive the road to La Plata, and this is what we tell our own passengers: every official way there, how each looks at the end of the night, and how to settle the ride home before you leave the hotel.
The Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona is not in the city of Buenos Aires but in La Plata, the capital of Buenos Aires Province, at the corner of Avenida 25 and Avenida 32, about 58 kilometres by road from the Obelisco. Going down is simple. Coming back is the hard part: after a night show, the streets around the stadium are usually closed and the last regular train left before the encore.

When are BTS playing the Estadio Único?
BTS bring their World Tour 'Arirang' to the Estadio Único on Wednesday 21, Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October 2026. The Wednesday show was added in April, after the presale for the Friday and Saturday dates ran out. The ticketer, AllAccess, lists the Wednesday and Friday shows at 8pm, but go by the time on your own ticket.
Two of the dates are weekdays, so the drive down shares the road with the evening commute: leave early. An 8pm start also rules out the last regular train back. And the plan presented in June by the municipality and the promoters expects more than 150,000 people in La Plata that week, so every option gets busier, ours included: book the ride when you book the hotel.

How do you get to the Estadio Único from Buenos Aires?
The stadium's own website gives three official routes. The fourth is ours, and we will come to it.
By car, on the motorway
Take the Autopista Buenos Aires-La Plata (formally the Autopista Ricardo Balbín), leave it at the km 52.8 exit and follow Avenida 32 to Avenida 25. There are two tolls, at Dock Sud and at Hudson, and the stadium's website puts the drive at around 40 minutes; on a show day, allow more.
On show days the catch is parking. For BTS, the ticketer sells its own passes: one at the Los Tilos rugby club, valid for any ticket, and one for Platea B ticket holders only.
By train, on the Roca line
Roca line trains run from Plaza Constitución to La Plata station, the end of the line, in about an hour and a quarter. The station is about 5 kilometres from the stadium by road, so you still need a bus or a taxi for the last stretch.
By bus, on the 129
The 129 leaves from Plaza Miserere (Once) and from Retiro and ends at the La Plata bus terminal, calle 4 and 42, after roughly an hour on the motorway. The terminal is also about 5 kilometres from the stadium; for that last stretch, the stadium's website lists the local bus lines that reach it.
Why is getting back the hard part?
The last regular train leaves before 10pm
On the Roca timetable in force since 3 August 2026, the last train from La Plata to Constitución leaves at 21:47 on weekdays (arriving at 23:04) and at 21:21 on Saturdays (arriving at 22:38). For an 8pm show, catching it means walking out early and crossing five kilometres of town in time.
The BTS plan includes more frequent trains and buses for the return. Until the services are announced, check Trenes Argentinos the week of your show, and do not build your night around a train you have not seen on a timetable.
The streets around the stadium close
Recent big shows have followed a pattern. For Los Piojos in January 2025, the Municipality of La Plata closed the stadium's own corner, Avenida 25 and Avenida 32, from 8am, added more closures at noon, and planned to keep them until the crowd had dispersed, expected around 2am for a show due to end near 1am. For La Mona Jiménez in November 2025, the municipality's traffic plan again listed closures at that corner from the first hours of the day.
If your date follows that pattern, no car, taxi or app ride reaches the gate. Whoever collects you waits outside the perimeter, and you walk out to them with a whole stadium reaching for the same ride apps. That is when a plan made in the afternoon is worth the most.
How does a private driver solve the return?
1. A pick-up point outside the closures, agreed in advance. We agree with you where the driver will wait, outside the closed streets, so you leave the stadium knowing where you are walking to.
2. One vehicle for the whole group. Our vehicles range from a comfort car for two to a minibus for 20; for bigger groups, ask us.
3. A price per vehicle, agreed before you go. Not per person, and with no night surcharge: the same at any hour, however late the night ends.
4. The concert-night package. You pay the trip one way, because the driver has to drive back to Buenos Aires anyway, plus the hours the driver waits for you in La Plata: USD 75 plus USD 20 an hour in a car for two, USD 223 plus USD 35 an hour in a van for six, USD 461 plus USD 55 an hour in a minibus for 20, and never more than two one-way trips. With five hours of waiting, that is USD 398 for the van, there and back. In the car the cap applies and it stays at USD 150.

If you are not queueing from the morning for a place on the field, spend the afternoon in La Plata. It is a planned city, laid out on a grid crossed by diagonal avenues that take some getting used to, with a neo-Gothic cathedral and the Museo de La Plata, its natural history museum.
