How to Get to the Estadio Huracán (Tomás Adolfo Ducó) and Back After a Show

HURACÁN · STADIUM TRANSPORT · 2026

The Huracán stadium is under six kilometres from the Obelisco, but after a show, with the streets closed and the regular subte gone, it can feel a lot further.

The last song ends, the lights come up over Huracán and a whole stadium walks out into streets that have been closed to traffic for hours. At Buenos Aires Transfers we drive visitors around the city, and this is what we tell our own passengers about a concert at Huracán: every official way there, how each one looks at the end of the night, and how to settle the ride home before you leave the hotel.

The Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó is the stadium of Club Atlético Huracán, on Avenida Amancio Alcorta in Parque Patricios, south of the city centre, about 5.6 kilometres by road from the Obelisco. The ticket sites list it as Estadio Huracán, and Ed Sheeran's tour page as Tomás Adolfo Ducó Stadium: it is the same place. Getting there is simple. Coming back is the hard part.

Go by the time on your own ticket. Ed Sheeran plays on a Sunday, the night the subte closes earliest, so the ride back needs more planning than usual. More on that below.

How do you get to the Huracán stadium?

By subte, on Line H

Line H runs between Facultad de Derecho, in the north of the city, and Hospitales, in the south, through Santa Fe, Corrientes and Once. Get off at Caseros, the closest station, about 900 metres from the stadium on foot. Parque Patricios station is about 1.3 kilometres away and Hospitales, the end of the line, about 1.8 kilometres.

By bus

Bus lines 118 and 151 run through the streets around the stadium. On show days those streets are closed to traffic, so expect to get off outside the closed area and walk the rest.

By taxi or ride app

From the Obelisco it is about 5.6 kilometres by road. On show days the car leaves you outside the closed streets, and you walk the last stretch with everyone else.

Why is getting back the hard part?

The streets around the stadium close hours before the show

The pattern repeats show after show. For Iron Maiden's two shows, on Tuesday 20 October and Wednesday 21 October 2026, the City of Buenos Aires announced total closures from 11am until 2am on Avenida Amancio Alcorta, between Lafayette and Lavardén, and on the streets around the stadium, with the stadium entrances on Monasterio, Avenida Colonia, Luna and Amancio Alcorta. For three concerts in 2025, the City restricted traffic in the whole area between Avenida Caseros, Avenida Suárez, Avenida Vélez Sarsfield and Zavaleta, from the morning or early afternoon until at least the end of the show. The notices come out between one and five days before each event.

So no taxi or app ride reaches the gate. Whoever collects you waits outside the closures, and you walk out to them with the whole crowd opening the same apps at once.

The regular subte can stop before the encore

On Emova's timetable, the last regular Line H train leaves Hospitales towards Facultad de Derecho at 22:51 on Sundays and holidays, 23:51 on weekdays and 00:20 on Saturdays, give or take five minutes. Ed Sheeran's date is a Sunday: if the show ends after that, do not count on it.

For Iron Maiden, the City extended Line H until 1:30am on both nights, boarding only at Caseros and stopping at Humberto 1°, Once, Corrientes and Santa Fe for passengers to get off. Extensions are announced event by event, so check for your date, and remember the walk to Caseros with the rest of the crowd.

How does a private driver solve the return?

1. A pick-up point outside the closures, agreed in advance. We agree with you where the driver will wait, outside the closed streets, so you leave the stadium knowing where you are walking to.

2. One vehicle for the whole group. Our vehicles range from a comfort car for two to a minibus for 20; for bigger groups, ask us.

3. A price per vehicle, agreed before you go. Not per person, and with no night surcharge: the same at any hour.

4. One ride there and one back, if you know your times. The driver collects you at your hotel and drops you at the agreed point, and for the way back meets you there at the time we agree: USD 30 a ride in a car for two and USD 95 in a van for six, so USD 60 or USD 190 there and back. If you are not sure when you will come out, the driver by the hour suits you better.

5. A driver at your disposal for the night. The driver collects you at your hotel, drops you near the stadium, waits and drives you back, and you pay by the hour: USD 25 an hour in a car for two, USD 45 in a van for six and USD 70 in a minibus for 20, with a three-hour minimum. A five-hour evening, hotel to stadium and back, comes to USD 125, USD 225 or USD 350. More on how it works in our guide to hiring a driver by the hour.

Write to us on WhatsApp with your date, your group and where you are staying, and we will confirm the option and the price for your vehicle.
